As a Summer Associate with Extensio Law, Glen Bittenbender assists our team with research, works on client teams, and writes for our blog.

Glen is a rising 3L at The George Washington University Law School. Before law school, he interned for a congressman on Capitol Hill, primarily answering phone calls from constituents. He then worked at a major consulting firm in our nation’s capital, inputting and quality-checking data from mass tort asbestos litigation materials. During law school, Glen interned for Marymount University’s Office of General Counsel, where he conducted legal research to draft a new student immunization policy concerning religious exemptions. He also interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, reviewing Federal Tort Claims Act claims against the government, and worked as a research assistant for a professor studying administrative law. Glen has built strong client representation skills by being an active listener, and he employs diligent attention to detail in identifying and addressing complicated problems. He is eager to bring these skills to the employment law sphere and help employers address critical issues to avoid litigation.

Glen was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has lived in the DC metropolitan area since first enrolling at GW as an undergraduate, though he goes back to Philadelphia whenever he gets the chance. Glen first became interested in employment law through a family friend actively involved in a labor union, and he has since taken coursework in administrative and employment law. He is also an Eagle Scout and former collegiate fencer, and he received a dean’s award from his law school for professional development.
